Library & Archive OUTReach is a student organization in the Department of Information Studies committed to serving the information needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) professional library and archival community at UCLA, and the LGBT information and access needs of UCLA students and individuals at large.

Library & Archive OUTReach provides its members, affiliates, and the library, archival, and information studies field with a forum for discussion and an environment for education regarding the needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender professional community and population at large.

We manage the Rae Lee Siporin LGBT Library, housed at UCLA's LGBT Campus Resource Center. The collection consists of over 4,000 books, journals and films/DVDs, and is searchable online through the UCLA Library Catalog. Students from the Department of Information Studies are encouraged to help maintain this valuable resource at UCLA. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.

Additionally, Library & Archive OUTreach plans an annual symposium that highlights LGBT issues in Library and Archival scholarship and practice.
